These stunning photographs are of Golden Fireflies in Japan! This series captures the fireflies in long exposure as they mate after thunderstorms.

I liked the nativity scene in Barcelona! I expected yet another wondrous kitschy take on the account of the birth of Jesus, but what a pleasant surprise! Bones Festes!

My friends Irina and Bobi of Arch-i-Tech, recently worked on a 3d mapping show for the 10th Anniversary of Hilton Hotel in Sofia. I thought they did a great job and asked Bobi, who was in charge of the project, for more details:

On the evening of 10.11.2011 the 10-years old open-book-like building in the center of Sofia was again “opened” with light 3d mapping show and fireworks. Past, Present and Future – the guiding line - with the desired by the client Wow effect, without being boring, and without the clichés of 3D mapping were the leading aspects by which Arch-i-Tech Ltd. prepared the concept and designed the lighting show. The Past – that is how and the foyer/Entry of the hotel is designed as an ancient-temple-like architecture. The Present – the green, bio-ecological experiments of Hilton to breed bees and produce honey on its roof with remarkable success. The Future – stepping in the second decade of its history with bright ideas.

I like Marco Tempest´s magic!

An interesting presentation on the human brain, great use of illustration/animation by Andrew Park, RCA. Psychiatrist and writer Iain McGilchrist talks about the “divided brain.”

A few photos from The Big Draw drawing Festival/ La Festa del Dibuix, in Barcelona. I too did my share of drawings around town. Absolutely!

Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils) started with the idea of turning photos into stencils. Instead of using spray paint though, he scratched portraits into walls around Moscow.
